"Thank you, again, for creating and facilitating the workshop last
Friday. I've never attended one quite like it before, in the sense
of all the evocative imagery to absorb, and also the mixture of men
and women, gay and straight. There was such a lovely collective
energy there that was palpable, and allowed people to feel safe to
share what they were feeling and thinking. I appreciated the
breathing demonstrations and guided visualizations also.
It was great to lie around so comfortably on the floor and let the
images wash over me, accompanied by the sound of your words crafted
so carefully to enhance the visuals. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was particularly wonderful to create the collages, and I was
impressed with the huge collection of images and cut-out words and
bits and pieces of creative materials you had collected for us to
draw from. I felt like I was back in some kind of alternate universe
kindergarten, where the innocence of the child was free to play with
the knowingness of the adult in a way that just felt so healthy on
so many levels. I also really appreciated getting to hear everyone
share a bit about what they had created.
You provided a rich soulful smorgasbord for us to help ourselves to
- the wholesome beautiful food and drink, the coloured fabrics
diffusing the light through the windows, all the books to look
through, and of course the study guide you compiled and sent out to
us beforehand. Magic-making is in the details, and your attention to
those details added up to something memorable and special - an
experience I'll continue to be quietly processing for some time to
come."
